खनन माफिया की अब खैर नहीं...

व्यास में खनन पर रोक को टीमें गठित(अम्र उजाला के ब्यूरो से )

व्यास नदी से रेत, बजरी और पत्थर निकालने वालों की अब खैर नहीं। खनन विभाग ने अवैध खनन पर रोक लगाने के लिए॒ लोक निर्माण और वन विभाग को चिट्ठी लिखी है। साथ ही नदी किनारे रेत निकालने वा...लों का चालान काटने के लिए टीमें भी गठित की गई हैं।

वर्तमान में व्यास और उसकी सहायक नदियों से भारी मात्रा में रेत निकाल कर स्टॉक की जा रही है। पावर प्रोजेक्टों में रिवर॒सैंड॒की डिमांड बढ़ने से रेत के सौदागरों ने दिहाड़ी पर मजदूर लगाकर व्यास नदी से रेत निकालने का सिलसिला जारी रखा है। खनन माफिया ने इस काम को अंजाम देने के लिए॒ वन भूमि पर संपर्क मार्ग भी बना रखे हैं। इन संपर्क मार्गों को बंद करने के लिए॒ खनन महकमे ने संबंधित॒विभागों से पत्राचार किया है। खनन विभाग की इस कार्रवाई से खनन माफिया में हड़कंप मच गया है।

विभागीय कार्रवाई से बचने के लिए॒ व्यास नदी पर रेत, बजरी और पत्थर निकालने का काम कुछ दिन के लिए॒बंद कर दिया गया है। कुल्लू घाटी के पावर प्रोजेक्टों में रिवर॒सैंड॒की डिमांड में बढ़ोतरी के चलते व्यास नदी में खनन का सिलसिला बदस्तूर जारी है।

मनाली से औट॒ तक नदी किनारे रेत के ढेर लगे हुए॒हैं। इन लोगों पर अब खनन विभाग ने कड़ी कार्रवाई का मन बनाया है। जिला खनन अधिकारी पुनीत गुलेरिया॒ ने बताया कि जिले में अवैध रूप से बनाए गए॒संपर्क मार्गों को तुरंत बंद किया जाएगा। इस मामले पर कार्रवाई के लिए॒संबंधित विभाग को कहा गया है। उन्होंने बताया कि किसी भी सूरत में व्यास नदी पर खनन नहीं होने दिया जाएगा। इसके लिए विभाग ने टीमें गठित की हैं।

SMALL HANDICRAFT INDUSTRY SUPPORTS LIVELIHOOD IN KULLU...
कुल्लू में लगेंगी सात औद्योगिक इकाइयां(अमर उजाला के सोजन्य से)

बागवानी और पर्यटन के लिए॒मशहूर कुल्लू जिला अब लघु उद्योगों के लिए भी जाना जाने लगा है। उद्योग विभाग ने जिले में सात नई औद्योगिक इकाइयों को मंजूरी प्रदान की है। जिले के अलग-अलग इल...ाकों में लगभग 15करोड़ रुपए॒की लागत से खुलने वाले इन कारखानों में 1000 से अधिक॒लोगों को प्रत्यक्ष तौर पर रोजगार मिलेगा।

कृषि॒और बागवानी पर आधारित॒इन औद्योगिक इकाइयों को मंजूरी से इलाकावासियों॒में खुशी की लहर दौड़ गई है। उद्यमी जिले में लघु औद्योगिक इकाइयां स्थापित कर लाखों रुपए॒ कमा रहे हैं। जिले में बोतल बंद पानी की ही एक दर्जन से अधिक॒फैक्ट्रियां चल रही हैं। इसके अलावा आटा मिलें, बुनकर, हैंडीक्राफ्ट से जुड़े कई लघु उद्योग चल रहे हैं। इससे स्थानीय लोगों को रोजगार के अवसर भी मिले हैं।

उद्योग विभाग की ओर से हाल ही में मंजूर उद्योगों में 6.03 करोड़ रुपए॒की लागत से बंदरोल॒ में लगने वाला एक शहद उद्योग भी शामिल है। चार आटा मिलें पतलीकूहल, जीया, भै्रण॒और सैंज॒में खोली जाएंगी। इन पर लगभग साढ़े सात करोड़ रुपए॒ खर्च किए॒जाएंगे। सात करोड़ की लागत से एक फू्रट एंड वेजिटेवल॒प्रोसेसिंग यूनिट का भी मंजूरी मिल गई है। इसके अतिरिक्त एक अन्य फू्रट प्रोसेसिंग यूनिट को भी उद्योग विभाग ने हरी झंडी दे दी है।

उद्योग विभाग के यहां तैनात महा प्रबंधक॒संजय शर्मा ने इसकी पुष्टि की है। उन्होंने कहा कि औद्योगिक इकाइयां स्थापित करने के लिए॒तमाम औपचारिकताएं पूरी कर ली गई हैं। अब जल्द इनका कार्य आरंभ होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि इन लघु कारखानों के लगने से सौ से अधिक॒लोगों को सीधे॒तौर पर रोजगार मिलेगा।

NO GOOD NEWS FOR SWEET KULLU APPLE...
दिल्ली में पिट गया कुल्लू का सेब
राजधानी दिल्ली की आजादपुर॒ सब्जी मंडी में हिमाचली॒ सेब पिटना शुरू हो गया है। हिमाचल में मूसलाधार बारिश के बाद सेब की भारी खेप दिल्ली पहुंचने लगी है। कश्मीर के अमेरिकन प्रजाति के सेब ने भी दस्तक देनी शुरू कर द...ी है। परिणामस्वरूप सेब की बागवानों॒को उचित कीमत नहीं मिल पा रही। प्रति पेटी सेब की कीमत में लगभग 200 रुपये की कमी दर्ज की जा रही है।

लगभग 15 दिन पहले हिमाचल का सेब दिल्ली में 600 से 900 रुपये प्रति पेटी भी बिका है। अब इसके दाम 500 रुपये तक सिमट गए॒हैं। ओलों से नष्ट हुए॒सेब की कीमत 200 से 350 रुपये ही मिल पा रही है। विपणन बोर्ड की वेबसाइट के अनुसार शनिवार दिल्ली में सेब के माडल॒प्राइज 280 रुपये किलो तक पहुंच गए॒हैं। दिल्ली सब्जी मंडी के आढतियों के मुताबिक सेब की कीमत लुढ़क गई है। मंडी में सेब भारी मात्रा में पहुंचना शुरू हो गया है। कश्मीर के अमेरिकन प्रजाति के सेब ने भी अब दस्तक दे दी है। लिहाजा, कीमतों में कमी आना स्वाभाविक है।

The infectious fungal disease - Marssynona blotch (M blotch) - has spread like wildfire in apple orchards in the major apple belt Kullu distri...cts due to a long spell of humid conditions, giving farmers sleepless nights as they are already facing problems in harvesting and transporting apple to the markets.

They are not getting the subsidised fungicides in the horticulture centres in the apple belt. The staff is busy in procuring apple under the market intervention scheme and nobody is there to give fungicides at the HPMC or other centres, farmers resented.

The fungal infection has aggravated for the past two weeks in the apple belt as the continuous heavy spell of rains has created conducive conditions for the fungal disease to spread. The fungal disease has already taken its toll, infecting over 50 per cent of “premature leaf fall” in Kullu district, rued farmers.

More than 50 per cent leaf fall has happened in Kullu-Raison, Manali-Naggar, Manikaran apple belt, Ani, Khanag, Nirmand and Dalash apple belt in Kullu district, farmers said.

The “pre-mature leaf fall” not only affects the plants adversely, but also impedes the growth of buds and affects the fruit-set next year.

The scientist in charge of Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry at the fruit research station, Kullu, said, “The M blotch has been flared up due to the heavy rains and humidity in apple belt. We advise farmers to resort to the sprays of fungicides of ziram and mancozeb as prescribed in spray schedule and wait for four rain-free hours before resuming of plucking the fruit”.
ट्रकों की कमी के चलते कुल्लू में उपायुक्त कार्यालय का घेराव
सेब सीजन में ट्रकों की कमी के चलते फल उत्पादक मंडल कुल्लू के बैनर तले घाटी के बागवानों ने सोमवार को उपायुक्त कार्यालय के वाहर धरना प्रदर्शन किया। बागवानों को संबोधित करते हुए फल उ...त्पादक मंडल के अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि आज घाटी के बागवानों का सेब सड़कों पर सड़ रहा है। इस का सबसे बड़ा कारण ट्रक यूनियन है, जो बार- बार आग्रह करने पर बागवानों की सेब की फसल को दिल्ली पहुंचाने के लिए वाहन उपलब्ध नहीं करवा पा रही है।

उन्होने कहा कि मजबूर हो कर बागवानों को ट्रकों की कमी को देखते हुए सड़कों पर उतरना पड़ा है।उन्होंने कहा कि सेब की खेप दिल्ली व अन्य सब्जी मंडियों में न पहुंचने से घाटी में ही सड़क रही है। उन्होंने प्रशासन को चेताते हुए कहा कि अगर बागवानों कि इस समस्या का समाधान नहीं निकाला गाया तो बागवान जिला मे चक्का जाम कर देंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि जिला के 80 प्रतिशत लोग बागवानी व खेती पर आश्रित हैं। ऐसे में सेब सीजन के दौरान ट्रकों की कमी हो जाने से बागवानों की आर्थिकी को भी गहरा झटका लग रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि सेब सीजन के शुरू होने से पहले ही जिला प्रशासन व ट्रक युनियन कुल्लू के पदाधिकारियों के साथ इस मसले को ले कर बैठक हुई थी, जिसमें उन्होंने साफतौर पर कह दिया था कि सेब सीजन में ट्रकों की कमी न हो इस के लिए युनियन उचित कदम इस बार उठाए।

बिजली महादेव को पॉलीथीनमुक्त करने का अभियान सफल...
कुल्लू : त्रिनयनम युवक मंडल अखाड़ा बाजार ने कहा कि बिजली महादेव को पालीथीनमुक्त करने का अभियान सफल रहा है। युवक मंडल की पर्यावरण जागरूकता समिति के प्रभारी देवेंद्र ने बताया कि श्रावण माह में श्रद्धालुओं की संख्य...ा अधिक होने से बिजली महादेव परिसर व जंगल में पॉलीथीन व प्लास्टिक की भरमार हो जाती है। इसे देखते हुए युवक मंडल ने बिजली महादेव में जनजागरूकता व सफाई अभियान चलाया। इसमें छोटे बच्चों व लंगर लगाने वाले लोगों को पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरूक किया गया।

युवक मंडल के अध्यक्ष ने बताया कि अभियान पूर्णतया सफल रहा है। करीब 95 प्रतिशत पॉलीथीन व प्लास्टिक विभिन्न संस्थाओं द्वारा वैज्ञानिक तरीके से इकट्ठा किया गया। उन्होंने इस पुनीत कार्य में सहयोग देने के लिए रोटरी क्लब, शिवा युवक मंडल सरवरी, स्काउड एंड गाइड व एनएसएस के स्वयंसेवियों को बधाई दी। उन्होंने बताया कि एकत्रित किए गए पॉलीथीन व प्लास्टिक को नगर पालिका के माध्यम से रिसाइकलिंग के लिए भेजा जा रहा है। भाजपा अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि युवा जिले के सभी मंदिरों के सौदर्यीकरण में भी सक्रिय भूमिका निभाएं। उन्होंने कहा कि प्लास्टिक व पॉलीथीन जंगलों के लिए कैंसर के समान है। युवाओं व स्वयंसेवी संस्थाओं को आगे आकर लोगों को पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरूक करने की जरूरत है। उन्होंने युवक मंडल को पौधरोपण के लिए ट्री गार्ड उपलब्ध करवाने का आश्वासन दिया। युवक मंडल की वरिष्ठ एडवाइजरी कमेटी के अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि भविष्य में भी युवक मंडल पर्यावरण से संबंधित गतिविधियों में सहयोग देता रहेगा।

KULLU DUSSERA FROM OCT17 ONWARDS...
The International Kullu Dussera Festival will be held from October 17 to 23.Besides troupes from abroad and other states, local cultural troupes would also be given preference to help showcase the rich hill culture during this occassion. Cultural troupes from Russia, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are likely to participate in the festival this year.

A few days back one of FB friend Mr.Milap Singh had asked me a question about the actual begining of the Kullu Dusshera.Though I being not a historian tried to flash the light on this topic because its my passion to explore Kullu.Yesterday ...too I had glanced a news item in a leading Himachali news paper about the "pioneer of Kullu Dussehra",the man to whom the credit goes for bringing this festival to our Kullu.Yes he was "Durga Dass or Durga Dutt",a peasant of Tipri village from Parbati valley(Manikaran valley).Let me elobrate it again.

The history of Kullu Dussehra dates back to the 17th century(Say in 1650 or 360 years back) when local King Jagat Singh installed an idol of Raghunath on his throne as a mark of penance.You must have heard the story that this king in his ego persuaded a peasant or a brahmin named Durga Dass for self-emolation.It was because there was a rumour that he had so precious pears.The king tried to sntach that.The poor fellow Damodar Dass kept himself locked inside his room and sliced his body parts one by one with a sharp weapon and threw these in a fire.But before his death,the innocent holyman cursed the king for this ill deed.

Evantualy,the king jagat Singh had the fatal diease"koud" and never recovered.He had sleepless nights,saw crawling creatures in his food items.One day in his dream he got the message that if he brings the idol of lord Raghunath from Ayodhya and bulits a temple in Kullu then only his recovery is possible.

A man named "Damodar Dass"was sent on the mission stole the said idol and he had brought it to Kullu. After this, god Raghunath was declared as the ruling deity of the Valley.The king got recovered of his illness and he ordered to celebrate the Dussehra in Kullu. After independence and more particularly,after 1971,The State government has accorded the status of International festival to the Kullu Dussehra, which attracts tourists in large numbers.

To eloborate more on Kullu Dusshera (to my knowledge),it is said that earliar whole of the Dhalpur area where Dussehra is now celebrated,was under cultivable land(the ropas of Kullu raja )and water to this large part of land was brought fro...m the adjoining Sarvari nullah.As this land was in a sliding sort or in "dhlan",thats why it was called Dhalpur.

Yes,the official celebration was started with the perasual of late two time cabinet rank minister of govt,of HP,Late Sh.Lal Chand Prarthi(once home mininister,then health minister),the credit for bringing the GD college,Hospital and Kla kendra goes to him.He persuaded the organising culutural programmes in Kla Kendra for a week so that it should be accorded an international status of festival.His efforts ended in a success story and now it is a very famous festival of India.

Wait for a month or more,then enjoy the Kullu Dusshera with me freinds.

इसमें एक लाख रुपये पर प्रीमियम दर 110 रुपये होगी तथा इसमें प्रथम वर्ष किसानों व बागवानों को छूट भी है। किसान चाहे तो सुक्ष्म सिंचाई का भी बीमा करवा सकते हैं ताकि उन्हें मुआवजा मिल सके। किसानों व बागवानों के लिए बीमा एक वर्ष के लिए मान्य होगा।

तिब्बतियों के आध्यात्मिक गुरु महामहिम दलाईलामा कुल्लू पहुंच गए॒हैं। वे २.३५॒मिनट पर वामतट॒मार्ग पर स्थित काईस॒स्थित दाक्पो॒बौद्ध मठ पहुंचे। उनका बौद्ध भिक्षुओं और अनुयाय...ियों ने जोरदार स्वागत किया। पहले दिन महामहिम दलाईलामा ने विशेष पूजा में भाग लेकर प्रार्थना की। महामहिम काईस॒मठ में दूसरी बार पधारे हैं। इससे पहले वे मठ के उद्घाटन पर यहां आए थे। मंगलवार सुबह मठ में उनका प्रवचन हुआ . इसे सुनने के लिए॒देश-विदेश॒से श्रद्धालुओं का तांता लगा हुआ है। महामहिम के दर्शन के लिए॒देश-विदेश॒से अनुयायी काईस॒पहुंच गए॒हैं।

Yes,this is “NEHRU KUND”and once up on a time this was a must place to watch.Now a in a pity condition and also in total negligence.

A nasty land slide on 19th of March 2008 spoiled the beauty and serenity of this place.This spring falls just 5 kms from Manali which was named after the first prime minister of India - Late Pundit Nehru because he used to drink the crystal clear water from the spring when ever he stayed in Manali.

The water of this spring is so cold that you can not hold your hand more than 2-3 minutes in this spring. The graceful clean water spring is said to have its source at the Bhrigu Lake which lies up above on a mountain of this place.

As there is enough drinking water available here in Nehru kund to supply to the town Manali,the nagar parishad and govt. authorities should necessarily do to preserve this historical spring.

It is d looming fear about the repeatition of land slide which is major reason of its negligence.But in Himalyan zone as these are part n parcel and if ignored,may cause havoc.These place need utmost care and pre-study of avlanches provided new technology of slabing guard or say strong shelters on RCC pattern are applied to avoid any sort of slithering and sliding.Yes,if done that the history ofcourse will repeat itself and water of this spring is really pure n sweet.
As I had revealed earliar about a week ago about land slide in this area which is the major problem.Now it had happened again.The continous rain spalshing had caused the land sliding near Nehru kund area,the lot of debris brought by recent cloud brust is also becoming a problem for high way walkers.Its high time to think about this historical spring now otherwise it is near its extict.

Every one knows it but attitude is who cares about them.First used,milked out and when gonna stale they are treated of no use.So much are selfish we human-beings.I'm concerned about these animals known as "GAYE MATA".

You see them all along ...your travel route, undernourished, many eating up polythene bags piled high on stinking waste heaps found almost on every-kilometer.Some are found dead with fowl smell or being eaten by dogs.

The sight draws both anger and pity. You cannot help wondering if this is our Holy Cow, so much revered by Hindus? The animal is worshipped as mother.One finds many showing respect to the Holy Cow by throwing before them some stale bread. The plight of the animal fails to move them.

Now I plead please stop making such a blatant public show of the way we carry our faith and show respect to our Holy Cow.We should reorganise things and build more cow shelters. We must raise funds for their healthy and safe upkeep. Not just money, volunteers must come out and provide free services for looking after the old animal. These cow shelters’ management bodies must ensure that the old and sick cows are brought here rather then captured municipal bodies.

Poor cows you are the victim of selfish humans.Lets come forward and do something about your care.That is a call.

The sight draws both anger and pity. You cannot help wondering if this is our Holy Cow, so much revered by Hindus? The animal is worshipped as mother.One finds many showing respect to the Holy Cow by throwing before them some stale bread. The plight of the animal fails to move them.

Now I plead please stop making such a blatant public show of the way we carry our faith and show respect to our Holy Cow.We should reorganise things and build more cow shelters. We must raise funds for their healthy and safe upkeep. Not just money, volunteers must come out and provide free services for looking after the old animal. These cow shelters’ management bodies must ensure that the old and sick cows are brought here rather then captured municipal bodies.

Poor cows you are the victim of selfish humans.Lets come forward and do something about your care.That is a call.

यह महायज्ञ 10 अगस्त को समाप्त हुआ है .9दिनों तक विश्व शांति के लिए आयोजित शतचंडी महायज्ञ कल यानी 10अगस्त को सम्पन्न हो गया.मनाली स्थित डुंगरी में माता हिडिम्बा का परिसर दिनों तक मंत्रोचारण से गूंजता रहा.महायज्ञ में भाग लेने कुल्लू...... घाटी के दर्जन से अधिक देवी-देवताओं ने अपनी उपस्थिति दर्ज करवाई.इस में कल 108 कन्याओं का पूजन किया गया.देवी माँ के आदेश से 11 ब्राह्मणों द्वारा शतचंडी पाठ,हवन का आयोजन सफलता से किया गया जिस में हजारों भक्तों ने हिस्सा लिया.यज्ञाचार्य ने बताया की जब भी आसुरी शक्तियां विश्व में बढ़ीं,तब-तब देवताओं ने देवी की स्तुति विभिन् रूपों जो की त्रिगुणात्मक शक्तियां महाकाली,महालक्ष्मी,महा सरस्वती के रूप में की है.इस पवित्र मौके पर विशाल भंडारे का आयोजन भी किया गया.यह चारों स्थानीय देवी-देवताओं के गुर(पुजारी) हैं,किन्तु इस महायज्ञ के पवित्र पावन अवसर से धन्य होने के लिए दूरस्थ जगहों से भी कई धर्माचार्य,विद्वान भी पधारे थे.उदहारणके तौर पर लाहौल के देवी-देवताओं के गुर भी शामिल थे और उन्हें भी बतौर सम्मान यज्ञ आहुति में शामिल किया गया था.

A successful exibition of around 300 manuscripts was held in the Dev Sadan complex where around 60 students took participation.It was asked to preserve these through prop...er ventilation and by the use of cilicagel and avoid the formation of fungus on rare scripts.

Mr.Khoob Ram a scholar from Kullu area who is very well versed in reading ancient 'TANKRI SCRIPT'had told that dictionaries are being prepared to acknowledge the hidden treasure of words in these rare sort of scripts.

There were diffrent rarest of rare manuscripts exibited over there,related with ancient jyotisha,krmakand,nva grha,mool nakshtra poojn ,prkhand jaal ,vaastu shastra and many more.

It has also been asked the govt.machinery to make it mandatory to preserve the govt.files and record for at least 25 years.

I applaued Dr.Molu Ram Thakur,the writer and Dr.Sita Ram Thakur,the district language officer,Kullu for organising such sort of exibition and workshop to keep the ancient things in spik and span condition.The great job indeed.

APPLE GROWERS SUFFER AS WHOLESALERS GO ON STRIKE IN DELHI

The agitation started by wholesale suppliers (ladanis) and commission agents (arhtias) of Azadpur market in Delhi on the issue of commission has... added to the woes of apple growers who are already facing problems in marketing their bumper crop due to bad roads and shortage of trucks.

The one-day token strike by wholesale suppliers and commission agents today ensured that no trading took place as a result over 300 trucks of apple which had already reached Delhi could not be auctioned. Over 1,000 trucks that were already on way would create a glut in the market. The two have joined hands to thwart the implementation of the amended bylaws of the Delhi Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act as per which the 6 per cent commission would have to be paid by buyers instead of growers.

The wholesale suppliers maintained that amendment, if implemented, would lead to a situation where they have to pay commission twice. They were already charged 8 per cent commission on sales to various suppliers across the country. If they were forced to pay 6 per cent commission at the time of purchasing produce they would have to pay a total commission of 14 per cent, which was unjust. They have threatened to follow the one-day token strike with longer strikes if the amendment was not withdrawn. If this happened the ultimate sufferers would be the growers.

The growers were worried as agitation by wholesale suppliers during peak season had send the prices of apple crashing as the market was already flooded with fruit. Harvesting was at its peak and already 51.31 lakh boxes of apple have been sent to the market as against 33 lakh boxes in 2008.

Last year, when the state had a lean crop only 5 lakh boxes had been marketed in the corresponding period. Daily 700 to 750 trucks, carrying over 3.5 lakh boxes, leave the state daily for various markets.

Chairman of the Himalayan Apple Growers’ Society Rajiv Chauhan said the state government should not tamper with the value chain of apple from orchard to consumer in which wholesale suppliers and ‘arhtias’ were vital links. It hardly matters who paid the commission as long as the growers get value for their produce. If wholesale suppliers were made to pay commission, they would certainly offer lower rates to growers. The government should focus attention on maintenance of roads, which were in a bad shape and arrange adequate number of trucks for transportation of produce.

Villagers oppose power project (borrowed from Tribune)4august.

The Hallan-Majhat-Karjan Sangharsh Samiti, which is opposing the setting up of 1.5-MW power project on Haripur (Pakhnose) nullah in Kullu district, has accused the government of ......misusing state machinery to harass villagers.

Convener alleged that villagers were being implicated in false cases at the behest of the private company and cases of theft had been registered even against women. The project, if allowed to come up, would spell doom for over a population of 15,000 of 19 villages in three panchayats as they would be deprived of their main source of drinking water and irrigation. Not only that, the nullah was one of the 40 streams identified for promoting trout fish and the project upstream would also affect the fish farm at Batahar.

He lamented that the district administration ignored their concerns and the sub-divisional magistrate did not record their objection and gave report in favour of the private company under pressure from the higher-ups in the government. The representatives of the committee had met Chief Minister PK Dhumal last month but there was no response. The government was on one hand spending hundred of crores of rupees to bring more land under irrigation and on the other depriving existing land of the irrigation facility. In the instant case over 60,000 bighas of fertile land would be affected.

The state secretariat of the CPM condemned the government for using state terror to dissuade the people from fighting for their genuine rights against private companies. It alleged that Continental Infra Tech Private Limited was in connivance with the state government criminally intimidating people. Once the water got diverted, the main drinking water and four irrigation schemes would become redundant.

The party asked the government to stop appeasing the big houses at the cost of the common people and accept their demands as sustainable development could not be possible without their support. The government had blatantly bent the law to extend a red carpet to private companies and similar kind of violations had occurred in Kashang and other hydroelectric projects.

KULLU APPLES ARE READY FOR MARKET...
सेब की बम्पर पैदावार,बागवानो के लिए नुकसानदेय

इस वर्ष कुल्लू घाटी में सेब की बम्पर पैदावार हुई है और साइज़ और रंग आने पर बागवानों ने इन्हें बाजार में भेजना शुरू के दिया है.बंजार एव लोअर कुल्लू में युद्ध स्तर पर तौडान शुरू हो चूका है.इस बार ...अत्याधिक बम्पर फसल होने की वजह से बागवानों को मुनासिब कीमत मिलना मुश्किल है.स्थानीय मंडियों जैसे कि मंदरोल,पतली कूल्ह और चोंरीबिहाल में भी सेबों के कम दाम मिल रहे हैं.अधिकतम मूल्य १५ रुपए से ज्यादा नहीं जा रहा है.वैसे पहले ही कुछ इलाकों में ओला वृष्टि कि वजह से सेब दागी हो चुके हैं.

पिछले वर्ष जहां रिलायंस, महिंद्रा एंड महिंद्रा व मदर डेरी समेत अन्य कंपनियां सेब खरीदने के लिए बगीचों में पहुंच चुकी थीं, वहीं इस बार उनका अभी तक कोई पता नहीं है। दूसरी तरफ अदानी गु्रप ने भी ओलावृष्टि सेब खरीदने से इनकार कर दिया है।हिमाचल सरकार के निगम एच.पी.एम.सी.भी शायद ही हाथ बढाएगी.

इससे बागवानों की परेशानी बढ़ती जा रही है। उनकी दिक्कत यह है कि बाजार में एक तो कम दाम मिल रहे हैं व दूसरा कोई विकल्प भी उनके पास नहीं है। बागवानों को उम्मीद थी कि बड़ी कंपनियों के आने से थोड़ी राहत मिलेगी, लेकिन इस वर्ष करीब डेढ़ करोड़ पेटी सेब ओलावृष्टि से प्रभावित होने के कारण बड़ी कंपनियों का रुझान भी साफ नहीं हो पा रहा है।कंपनियां, सरकार व आढ़ती कोई भी ओलावृष्टि से प्रभावित सेब बागवानों को सहयोग देने को तैयार नहीं है।

इस तरह ज्यादा फसल ,कुल्लू के स्थानीय बागवानों के लिय इस वर्ष नुकसानदय साबित हो रहा है.
